Are you looking for a meaningful volunteering opportunity abroad this summer? Join us in the third edition of Youth Summer Fest, a team volunteering project from 15 July to 15 August in Timisoara, Lugoj and Jebel, three localities in the western part of Romania!
What is the festival about?
For the third time, Youth Summer Fest brings volunteers from all around the world to organise, help implement, promote, and experience activities for youth, during a 1-month period. This year, we will have a team of 44 volunteers with specific skills, distributed in one of the following areas: facilitation, media & promotion, and logistics for the events.
Why should you apply?
If you choose to join us, you will have the opportunity to:
- implement, facilitate and promote activities in the youth centres or public places of Timisoara, Lugoj and Jebel
- learn about tools for developing active citizenship and youth participation
- discover various forms of volunteering and methods of community engagement and community building
- meet other young people from different countries and cultures
- obtain a youth pass that showcases your experience & new skills
We are meant to be if you:
-are between the ages of 18 and 30;
-speak English at a conversational level;
-have a residence in one of the ESC partner countries;
-are enthusiastic about events facilitating and promoting;
-are open-minded, flexible and tolerant.
Timeline
25 March: deadline for candidates who need visa
31 April: deadline for candidates who don’t need visa
14 July: arrival day
12 August: International Youth Day
16 August: departure day
Accommodation will be provided in one of the student dorms of Timisoara. Facilities: shared bedrooms, bathrooms & kitchen.
Food allowance: 5 EUR/day.
Pocket money: 4 EUR/day.
Travel*: expenses will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ distance band. You will find all the information regarding this in the info pack.
