Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT), part of the international youth activism network Global Platforms (under the aegis of ActionAid Denmark), is launching the Take a Stand programme, aimed at young people between 14 and 35 years of age, living in Timis County, who want to carry out projects and initiatives aimed at changing the community for the better.
The programme runs from October to December 2023, and the first stage of the programme involves selecting 15 young people (based on the answers in the application form) to benefit from an introductory workshop on political activism and youth participation, mentoring and the chance to get funding to implement one of their community initiatives by the end of the year.
In the longer term, FITT aims to coordinate a network of young activists and support their initiatives. The overall objective of the programme is to develop their leadership skills, support the implementation of young people’s ideas and raise awareness and empower young people from marginalised groups.
The Global Platforms Network supports movements, youth networks, organisations and individuals promoting progressive social, political and economic change around the world, promoting young people as agents of change for a fairer, more sustainable and democratic world.
Global Platforms is ActionAid’s network for youth-led activism. It supports movements, youth networks, organizations and individuals promoting progressive social, political and economic change around the world. Through capacity building and support to various youth-led initiatives, the network seeks to promote young people as agents of change for a more just, sustainable and democratic world.
The stages of the program are:
1. Application and evaluation period (20th of October 2023 – 13th of November 2023)
Participants will apply via a form. The data collected will be used only for the purpose of communication throughout the program. The form is available here: https://forms.office.com/e/5mje4ucTr9
2. Evaluation of the candidates (13th of November 2023– 15th of November 2023)
Applicants will be selected by the program officers. In total there are 15 places available, of which 5 are designated to initiatives targeting Ukrainian people.
3. Activism initiation workshop (17th to 19th of November 2023)
Once selected, the 15 candidates will be invited to the Youth House in Timisoara from 17 to 19 November, where they will take part in the training on activism and youth participation, necessary for the implementation of the proposed initiatives.
Participation in the training is mandatory for those who wish to apply for funding for the initiatives.
4. Mentoring (19th of November 2023 – 31st of December 2023)
Once the training is completed, the mentoring phase begins. Mentoring involves the support of FITT Global Platform officers in the creation of the project application, the implementation of the initiative and reporting on it. Mentoring can extend beyond the project implementation period.
5. Applying for funding (19th of November – 24th of November 2023)
In the last part of the training, the creation of the application for funding will start together with the FITT Global Platform officers. During this phase, the young people will receive continuous feedback and advice from the Global Platform officers, who will also provide the necessary information resources.
6. Evaluating and announcing the selected applications for funding (25th of November 2023 – 27th of November 2023)
The project managers will evaluate and select the applications submitted for funding. At the end of this process, the candidates will receive the results via email.
7. Implementation and of the approved initiatives (28th of November 2023 – 31st of December 2023
In this phase of the project, young people that obtained financing through the previous phase will have the chance to implement the proposed initiatives. This period also includes the financial reporting.
8. Outcome Harvesting (the date will be established by mutual agreement)
After the implementation and reporting, the young activists will take part together in an Evaluation Session focused on outcome harvesting. Outcome Harvesting is a monitoring and evaluation approach that is used to collect evidence of outcomes and then work backward to determine whether and how an intervention contributed to these outcomes.

Fundația Județeană pentru Tineret Timiș (FITT), parte din rețeaua internațională de activism în rândul tinerilor Global Platforms (sub egida ActionAid Danemarca), lansează programul Take a Stand, adresat tinerilor cu vârste cuprinse între 14 și 35 de ani, care locuiesc în județul Timiș și care doresc să desfășoare proiecte și inițiative menite să schimbe comunitatea în bine.
Programul se derulează în perioada octombrie – decembrie 2023, iar prima etapă a programului presupune selectarea a 15 tineri (pe baza răspunsurilor din formularul de înscriere) care să beneficieze de un atelier de inițiere privind activismul politic și participarea tinerilor, de mentorat și de șansa de a obține finanțare pentru implementarea uneia dintre inițiativele lor dedicate comunității, până la finalul anului.
Pe termen lung, în cadrul programului, FITT își propune să coordoneze o rețea de tineri activiști și să le sprijine inițiativele. Obiectivul general al programului este de a le dezvolta abilitățile de leadership, a sprijini punerea în aplicare a ideilor tinerilor și de a sensibiliza și împuternici tinerii din grupurile marginalizate.
Rețeaua Global Platforms sprijină mișcările, rețelele de tineri, organizațiile și persoanele care promovează schimbări sociale, politice și economice progresiste în întreaga lume, promovând tinerii ca agenți ai schimbării pentru o lume mai corectă, mai durabilă și mai democratică.
Etapele programului sunt:
1. Perioada de aplicare și evaluare (20.10.2023 – 13.11.2023)
Participanții vor aplica prin intermediul unui formular. Datele colectate vor fi utilizate doar în scopul comunicării pe parcursul programului. Formularul este disponibil aici: https://forms.office.com/e/5mje4ucTr9
2. Evaluarea candidaților (13.11.2023 -15.11.2023)
Candidații vor fi selectați de către responsabilii de program. În total, sunt disponibile 15 locuri, dintre care 5 sunt destinate inițiativelor care vizează populația ucraineană.
3. Atelier de inițiere în activism (17-19.11.2023)
Odată selectați, cei 15 candidați vor fi invitați la Casa Tineretului din Timișoara, în perioada 17-19 noiembrie, unde vor participa la un training de activism și participare a tinerilor, necesar pentru implementarea inițiativelor propuse. Participarea la acest training este obligatorie pentru cei care doresc să aplice pentru finanțare pentru inițiativele propuse.
4. Mentoratul (19.11.2023 – 31.12.2023)
Odată ce formarea este finalizată, începe faza de mentorat. Mentoratul presupune sprijinul ofițerilor Platformei globale FITT în crearea cererii de finanțare a programului, în implementarea inițiativei și în raportarea cu privire la aceasta. Mentoratul se poate extinde dincolo de perioada de implementare a proiectului.
5. Depunerea cererii de finanțare (19.11.2023 – 24.11.2023)
În ultima parte a formării, va începe crearea cererii de finanțare împreună cu ofițerii Platformei globale FITT. În timpul acestei etape, tinerii vor primi în permanență feedback și sfaturi din partea ofițerilor Platformei Globale, care vor pune la dispoziție și resursele de informare necesare.
6. Evaluarea și anunțarea cererilor de finanțare selectate (25.11.2023 – 27.11.2023)
Responsabilii de program vor evalua și selecta cererile depuse pentru finanțare. La finalul acestui proces, candidații vor primi rezultatele prin e-mail.
7. Implementarea și a inițiativelor aprobate (28.11.2023 – 31.12.2023)
În această fază a programului, tinerii care au obținut finanțare prin faza anterioară vor avea șansa de a implementa inițiativele propuse. Această perioadă include și raportarea financiară.
8. Recoltarea rezultatelor (dată stabilită de comun acord)
După implementare și raportare, tinerii activiști vor participa împreună la o sesiune de evaluare axată pe recoltarea rezultatelor (outcome harvesting). Outcome Harvesting este o abordare de monitorizare și evaluare care este utilizată pentru a colecta dovezi ale rezultatelor și apoi lucrarea în sens invers pentru a determina dacă și cum a contribuit o intervenție la aceste rezultate.
