[RO] Despre cel mai mare proiect de voluntariat din Europa, Youth Centres UP, suntem convinși că v-ați tot lovit pe rețelele de socializare, iar astăzi anunțăm cu bucurie că a început!
Youth Centres UP este un proiect finanțat de Corpul European de Solidaritate, proiect care își propune să creeze noi spații sigure, de exprimare și învățare pentru tineri. De asemenea, în contextul în care Timișoara va fi Capitală Europeană a Culturii în 2021, avem nevoie de spații unde tinerii să se poată exprima și dezvolta în mod liber. Centrele de tineret de cartier vor fi spații ale tuturor tinerilor, indiferent de identitate, preferințe, sex, religie sau alte caracteristici. Proiectul își propune, astfel, să pună bazele ca ele să devină spații de comunicare între tineri și comunitate, locul unde ei vin împreună și (se) dezvoltă.
Cu energie, entuziasm, dorință de schimbare, de implicare și de bine, peste 60 de voluntari internaționali au ajuns în Timișoara, pentru ca împreună să creeze pentru comunitatea timișoreană aceste noi spații sigure dedicate tinerilor, pentru libera exprimare și dezvoltare a acestora.
Pe o perioadă de 40 de zile, tineri cetățeni ai 20 de țări europene se vor implica în activități de solidaritate, sub formă de voluntariat, alături de comunitatea timișoreană, pentru a amenaja împreună și a transforma vechi centrale termice în centre de tineret urbane.
Astfel, prima zi a proiectului, joi, 11 iulie, ne-a găsit bucurându-ne de un alt spațiu creat de și pentru tineri, În Spatele Casei, unde voluntarii schimbă-lume au fost implicați într-o primă activitate de muncă în echipă, creându-și steaguri pe care urmează să le fluture la Parada organizată în cadrul proiectului International Student Week in Timisoara.
Ziua a doua a proiectului a reprezentat ziua de debut a trainingului de integrare și teambuilding, în cadrul căreia, participanții au fost implicați în activități de cunoaștere, atât între ei, cât și a echipei de organizare. În continuare, accentul a căzut pe tema SOLIDARITATE – pentru voluntari, pentru comunitate și pentru comuniunea dintre voluntari și comunitatea timișoreană.
Prima zi de weekend a fost despre INTERCULTURALITATE și DIVERSITATE și cunoașterea orașului de pe Bega, realizată printr-o căutare de comori, voluntarii internaționali descoperind cele mai importante locații și clădiri din oraș, din punct de vedere istoric și cultural.
Săptămâna s-a încheiat prin conturarea conceptului de IMPLICARE A COMUNITĂȚII –Ce este? De ce? Cum? Totodată, în cadrul trainingului, voluntarii au învățat, prin participare, tehnici de managementul conflictelor și provocările activității de voluntariat și și-au stabilit obiectivele de viitor, în raport cu activitatea desfășurată în cadrul proiectului.
Cu echipele de lucru închegate, voluntarii schimbă-lume sunt pregătiți pentru o nouă săptămână, cu noi provocări. În zilele ce urmează, aceștia vor descoperi comunitatea timișoreană, vor crea planul de implicare a comunității, urmând ca la sfârșitul acesteia, să realizeze întâlniri cu locuitorii celor 3 cartiere care se vor bucura, în această primă etapă, de centre urbane de tineret.
De asemenea, începând cu data de 28 iulie, alți 40 de voluntari internaționali se vor alătura echipei, urmând ca aceștia să amenajeze împreună alte două centre de tineret, spații sigure pentru tinerii timișoreni.

Youth Centers UP is a project funded by the European Solidarity Corps, a project that aims to create new safe spaces for young people to express themselves and to learn. Also, in the context in which Timisoara will be the European Capital of Culture in 2021, we need spaces where young people can express and develop freely.
The youth centers will be safe spaces created for young people, no matter their identity, preferences, gender, religion or other characteristics. The project aims to create the basis for these spaces, in order for them to become spaces for communication between the young people and the community, where they can come and develop together.
With energy, enthusiasm, will to change and to be involved, more than 60 international volunteers arrived in Timişoara to create together for the Timişoara community these new safe spaces dedicated to young people for their free expression and development.
Over a period of 40 days, young citizens of 20 European countries will be engaged in solidarity activities through volunteering alongside the Timisoara community to jointly develop and transform old industrial buildings into urban youth centers.
Thus, the first day of the project, Thursday, July 11, found us enjoying another space created by and for young people, “In Spatele Casei”, where the change-makers were involved in a first teamwork activity, creating flags that they are going to use at the Parade organized within the International Student Week in Timisoara project.
The second day of the project was the debut of the On boarding and teambuilding training, in which the participants were involved in activities to get to know each other and also to get to know the organizing team. Further on, the focus was on SOLIDARITY – for volunteers, for the community and for the communion between volunteers and the Timisoara community.
The first day of weekend was about INTERCULTURALITY and DIVERSITY and discovering the city. Through a treasure hunt, our volunteers discovered the most important historical and cultural places and buildings in the city.
The week ended by shaping the concept of COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT – What? Why? How? At the same time, during the training, the volunteers learned, through participation, conflict management techniques and the challenges of volunteering, and they have set their objectives related to the work that they will be caring out within the project.
With the team working together, the change-maker volunteers are ready for a new week with new challenges. In the following days, they will discover the community of Timisoara, create the community involvement plan, and at the end of it, they will meet the citizens of the three neighborhoods that will benefit, in this first stage, of urban youth centers.
Also, starting with July 28, another 40 international volunteers will join the team, and together with the first 60 volunteers they will establish two other youth centers, safe places for young Timisoara.
