On 11 December 2025, we hosted a COMAS Multiplier Event focused on the role of community arts in fostering civic engagement and social change. The event brought together 31 participants, young people and youth workers from different organisations and initiatives, including Asociația Hârsova 3D.

The meeting created a space for dialogue and exchange around how artistic and creative practices can support communities in addressing social issues, strengthening participation, and encouraging active citizenship.

Participants were introduced to the COMAS – Community Arts for Civic Engagement and Social Change project, a European cooperation initiative implemented within the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, coordinated by Kontroll V Association (Hungary) in partnership with organisations from Romania (FITT), Estonia, Greece, and Spain

A central moment of the event was the presentation of the COMAS Handbook – A Hands-on Guide for Creative Workshops and Community Art Projects. The publication offers practical tools, workshop methods, and step-by-step templates for youth workers, educators, artists, and facilitators who want to use arts-based, participatory approaches in non-formal education and community work.

The discussions highlighted the importance of focusing on process over product, creating inclusive spaces for dialogue, and using creative methods to engage people who may feel disconnected from traditional forms of civic participation.
