   The event will reunite around 300 young people across the continent, eager to shape together Europe in which they want to live and grow. For this, young Europeans will take part in several thematic workshops on the future of work, skills and qualifications, digital Europe, climate change, fair and inclusive societies, as well as democratic participation and a Involvement of young people in the decision-making process. At the end of the day, all participants will be present at a joint event to discuss their ideas with political leaders of the European Commission in a dialogue with citizens. The following day, Sibiu will host the summit of Heads of State and Government of the EU Member States.




Who can apply?

  • Young people aged 18 to 25 years (until 7 May 2019);
  • Living in Europe (legal residents in one of the EU Member States);
  • Interested in expressing their opinion on the future of Europe.



The event will take place on May 8th, from 9:30 to 18:30, at the "Ion Besoiu" center in Sibiu. The event will be organized in English, French, German and Romanian. The Commission will provide, if necessary, EU language interpreting services, as well as in the Mimico-gestual language If a prior notification is sent. Participants are expected to arrive in Sibiu on May 7th, leaving to take place on May 9th. The participants will be accommodated in Alba Iulia (53 kilometers from Sibiu). Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the European Commission which will organise the trip from the property to Sibiu (round trip). Meals and transportation between Alba Iulia and the airports of Sibiu and Cluj-Napoca will also be provided.
