AIESEC in Timișoara, founded in 1993, is part of the world’s largest youth-led organization, AIESEC, established after World War II. Over the years, AIESEC in Timișoara has focused on developing leadership among young people in the region. We are dedicated to providing opportunities for the personal and professional growth of students and local communities, facilitating the transition from education to employment. Our goal is to build a bridge between young people and the labor market, encouraging them to become leaders and agents of change in society. Through our projects and programs, we promote international exchanges and intercultural understanding by offering volunteering opportunities abroad. In addition, we facilitate intercultural exchanges in Timișoara by hosting international participants within local projects. Website

The Biomentorhub Association is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and independent organization with the following objectives:\n\n- connecting young pupils and students interested in identifying study programs and engaging in research activities in the fields of biosciences and medicine with experienced mentors specialized in these areas;\n- supporting Romanian specialists from the diaspora with research experience in biosciences or medicine who are interested in discovering professional and collaboration opportunities in Romania, by identifying mentors from academia, government, and industry who can guide them in this process;\n- contributing to the development of scientific research in Romania;\n- providing moral and material support to pupils and students with outstanding results in the fields of biosciences and medicine, as well as to researchers active in the fields of bioscience and medicine;\n- promoting interdisciplinary research in biosciences, medicine, engineering, and computer science.\n\nBiomentorhub is a volunteer-based initiative developed by a group of young Romanians who believe in the value of mentorship and consider it to play a decisive role in the professional development of young people, as well as in supporting the return to Romania of specialists who study or work in the diaspora.\n\nBy supporting current and future generations of researchers and specialists in these fields, Biomentorhub aims to catalyze the development of research in biosciences and medicine in Romania and beyond. By promoting collaboration and communication between experienced specialists and creative young people with potential, Biomentorhub facilitates innovative projects with impact in these areas. Website

Initiative Association from Timișoara defends the rights and interests of students and pupils belonging to the category of Romanians from everywhere who are enrolled in public pre-university and university education in Timișoara. The Association encourages the participation of pupils and students in the educational process, as well as their active involvement in academic life and in the socio-cultural sphere of the city. In this regard, the Inițiativa Association carries out educational and socio-cultural projects and promotes policies aimed at recognizing and supporting the rights of pupils and students who are Romanians from everywhere within the academic environment and the wider community. The Student Association of the Faculty of Communication Sciences – Politehnica University of Timișoara, commonly known as FSC League, is a non-governmental, non-profit, and apolitical organization founded in 2017 by students of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, thus being the youngest Student Association within Politehnica University of Timișoara.\n\nActive in terms of relations with other organizations, FSC League is a member of ANOSR and FITT, as well as a founding member of COSPol.\n\nUnder the motto “Communication with and for students,” FSC League represents the main voice of students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences. The organization’s primary goal is to represent students at the university-wide, local, and national levels, advocating for them through all available means.\nThe mission of the Association is to represent the faculty’s students by defending their interests and rights through all available means, as well as by encouraging their participation in various educational, social, and cultural activities.\n\nAlthough it is a young organization, FSC League has managed over the years to implement successful projects such as “Cafeneaua Comunicării,” “Charity Pub Quiz,” “Share a Smile,” “Secret Love Box,” and “DOT Contest.” These projects have achieved their goals and contributed to the development of young people by providing them with valuable knowledge and meaningful experiences.\n Website

The Association of Psychology and Sociology Students of Timișoara, known by the acronym ASPST, aims to support the personal and professional development of students, as well as to promote collaboration within the socio-humanities fields at local, national, and international levels. ASPST is a professional organization whose activity is based on three core values: friendship, professionalism, and responsibility.\n\nThe Association is structured into five departments: the Human Resources Department, the Public Relations Department, the Financial Department, the Research Department, and the Training Department. In addition, various projects are carried out within the association, coordinated by Project Managers.\n\nAmong the projects implemented are Psyschool, which aims to develop and inform pupils and students through the organization of events and visits to schools in rural areas; PsycoSocial, a project that offers students the opportunity to get to know each other and socialize outside the university environment by organizing themed parties and other social events; as well as PsyForensic, one of the association’s most well-known projects, dedicated to students interested in a career in the field of national security and forensic psychology.

The Experimental Sensory Theatre Association (TES), also known as Sensory Theatre, is a unique youth organization in Romania, specializing exclusively in the use of the innovative Sensory Labyrinth Theatre (TSL) method.\n\nTheir mission is to combat the deterioration of mental health in urban environments and to promote participatory art, art therapy, personal development through art, the values of artistic volunteering, and non-formal learning methods. Through the organization of cultural events, TES focuses both on supporting the community and on developing and promoting the TSL method. Sensory Theatre remains a pioneer in promoting art as a means of therapy and human connection, offering innovative and deeply transformative experiences for its audiences.\n\nOver its 10 years of activity, the organization has had a significant impact:\n- over 140 performances of 15 different productions, attracting more than 9,000 spectators;\n- the organization of over 100 artistic creation and personal development workshops, with more than 3,000 participants;\n- involvement in the implementation and organization of over 25 cultural projects;\nparticipation in more than 30 music and theatre festivals. The League of Chemistry Students of Timișoara (LSCT) is a non-governmental student organization that represents and supports chemistry students within Politehnica University of Timișoara. LSCT’s main goal is to provide a supportive environment for students’ academic, professional, and personal development by facilitating access to resources, networking opportunities, and events relevant to their future careers.\n\nLSCT organizes a wide range of activities, including workshops, conferences, trainings, and company visits, aimed at helping students develop their technical skills and expand their knowledge in the field of chemistry. The league also encourages active student involvement in volunteer projects and initiatives that promote innovation and sustainability.\n\nBeyond educational aspects, LSCT offers students opportunities for social interaction and personal development through recreational events and team-building activities designed to strengthen cohesion and collaboration within the community.\n\nAs a representative body for chemistry students, LSCT serves as a bridge between students and academic staff, ensuring effective communication and advocating for students’ rights and interests. LSFEE is a non-profit organization with a socio-professional character, autonomous in nature, founded in 2006, carrying out student-focused, civic, and representative activities. It was established through the free association of students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering in Timișoara.\n\nThe organization was created to defend and promote the rights and interests of students within the faculty, regardless of gender, religion, nationality, or political beliefs, using all available means.

The League of Students of the Faculty of Automation and Computers (Liga AC) is a student organization founded in 1990 that represents the interests of students from the Faculty of Automation and Computers and supports them in their social and cultural life. Each year, Liga AC organizes noteworthy projects.\n\nAmong the largest is Liga AC LABS – Applied Laboratories for the Benefit of Students, which consists of a series of laboratories dedicated to students eager to apply the knowledge gained during their studies, thus allowing them to partially validate their summer internship.\nA competition project that supports students and pupils passionate about the IT&C field is iTEC – iT Engineering Contest.\n\nFormerly a section of the iTEC competition, RoboTEC – RoboT Engineering Contest is a project dedicated to students from Romania and abroad who are passionate about robotics and Artificial Intelligence.\n\nAdditionally, in the IT&C field, driven by the desire to engage civically through the organization’s projects, the first edition of UniHack took place in 2019. UniHack is an international hackathon that encourages young people to identify civic issues in society and propose digital solutions to address them.\n\nInvolvement in promoting the university center and the city of Timișoara led to the development of two other projects: Comoara Ligii AC, aimed at students from Romania, and ISWinT – International Student Week in Timișoara – dedicated to students from all over the world. ISWinT is also the largest student festival in Southeast Europe and the oldest project organized by Liga AC.\n\nLiga AC is also involved in socio-cultural life, being a founding member of Timișoara – European Capital of Culture 2023 and a member of the Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT). It is also a founding member of the National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (ANOSR) and of the Convention of Student Organizations within “Politehnica” (COSPol), representing students’ interests at both local and national levels. The “Traian Lalescu” Student Organization (OSTL) was founded in 1990, initially bearing the name Free Student Union of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Timișoara (SLSFC), and in 2010 it adopted the name by which it is known today.\nSince its establishment, the organization’s activity has focused on representing students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering within Politehnica University of Timișoara. It is a non-partisan and non-profit organization that, from its very beginnings, has set out to defend and promote students’ rights by all available means.\n\nThe organization’s main projects are:\n- Building Construct – a project dedicated to first-year students, aimed at building a model based on the theme “Innovative Construction Materials”;\n- Freshers’ Week – activities carried out during the first week to help new students adapt to student life;\n- UPT Campus Explorer – a summer university for 11th-grade pupils, where they can experience student life and discover what the Faculty of Civil Engineering is like;\n- Angels for Angels – a charitable project organized during the holiday season. The Organization of Bessarabian Students in Timișoara (OSB Timișoara), founded on May 3, 2001, is dedicated to representing the interests of Romanian students from the Republic of Moldova who study in Timișoara. Over its 23 years of activity, OSB Timișoara has organized numerous cultural, educational, and recreational projects, gaining both national and international recognition. Notable projects include the cultural festival “Days of Bessarabia,” which brings Bessarabian culture to the attention of the Romanian public; “Discover Timișoara,” aimed at first-year Bessarabian students; and the annual trip “Departure to Alba Iulia,” commemorating the Union of Bessarabia with Romania in 1918.\n\nAdditionally, “CineMoldova” – the Bessarabian Film Festival – promotes Bessarabian culture through cinema, while Sports Month encourages a healthy lifestyle through activities such as football, basketball, and volleyball. OSB Timișoara plays an active role in the socio-cultural life of the city, being a member of the Timis County Youth Foundation (FITT), the National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (ANOSR), the Convention of Student Organizations within “Politehnica” (COSPol), and the Federation of Bessarabian Youth (FTB). ELSA was founded on May 4, 1981, in Vienna, by a group of students from Poland, Austria, Hungary, and West Germany (Federal Republic of Germany). Promoting international connections and mutual understanding between law students on both sides of the Iron Curtain was the core idea behind the establishment of the association.\nEvery activity we carry out—whether a moot court competition, a conference, or an internship—is based on supporting the personal and legal development of students.\nWe collaborate with professionals in the field, professors, and various individuals who contribute to improving student life.
