From 10 to 11 June 2026, three members of our team participated in a job shadowing mobility in Belgium, at Destelheide-Hanenbos Youth Centre.
The visit aimed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practices in the fields of cultural activities, non-formal education, and the management of spaces dedicated to young people.
The mobility provided participants with the opportunity to discover how a youth centre operating in a different European context organises its activities and develops programmes for young people.
Learning Through Observation and the Exchange of Good Practices
Over the two days, the visit to Destelheide-Hanenbos Youth Centre focused on exploring the centre's infrastructure, discovering its activities and programmes, and exchanging ideas on the role of cultural and educational centres in young people's development.

European Perspectives for the Development of FITT's Activities
For FITT, participation in such mobilities represents an opportunity for the professional development of its team and for strengthening relationships with organisations working in similar fields, particularly education, culture, and youth participation.
The exchange of experiences with a youth centre in Belgium offers new perspectives on how spaces dedicated to young people can be used to foster learning, creativity, collaboration, and personal development.
At the same time, the mobility provided an opportunity to discuss potential future collaborations between FITT and Destelheide-Hanenbos Youth Centre.

Continuing to Learn and Build European Connections
Participation in this experience reflects the Timiș County Youth Foundation's ongoing commitment to developing its team's competences and connecting with European practices in the field of youth work.
Through international exchanges, dialogue, and mutual learning, we aim to continue developing relevant, accessible programmes and spaces tailored to the needs of young people in our community.
The mobility was funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
